Strategic Communications & Editorial Writer

I help organisations say what they mean, clearly and credibly, to audiences that span borders. My work covers editorial strategy and long-form writing, media relations, and policy communication — built on a decade inside media regulation and public affairs.

I currently found and edit The Corridor, an editorial publication covering the Africa–GCC trade relationship, and serve as Communications Strategist for Afrigate Commercial Brokers, a Dubai–Africa brokerage.

A Decade in Media Regulation & Public Affairs

I spent ten years at the Zimbabwe Media Commission, progressing from intern to Senior Media Relations Manager. In that time I helped grow the number of registered media outlets in Zimbabwe from fewer than 20 to more than 80 — work that materially widened media plurality during a period of restrictive media law.

That role meant writing across formal registers under scrutiny: policy communications, press releases, official statements, briefings, and Q&As. It also meant managing international journalists navigating government protocols, and representing the Commission to press and public.

Editorial Practice

The Corridor is where that experience now lives. I write and edit long-form profiles and analysis on cross-border trade and investment, conducting first-hand interviews with senior executives and translating complex commercial subject matter into clear editorial. The publication launched in 2026; the debut profile reached 8,000 organic impressions within three days.

I run it on a full editorial governance stack — charter, style guide, and editorial policy — because consistency and accuracy are what make a publication trustworthy over time.
