Living the Dream: My Formula 1 Qatar Experience

Attending the Formula 1 Grand Prix had always been a dream of mine—a bucket list item that felt almost too grand to ever come true. This year, that dream became a reality, and it was everything I’d hoped for and more.

As I stepped onto the iconic Lusail International Circuit, I was greeted by the deafening roar of engines—thousands of horsepower multiplied by ten, vibrating through the air and straight to my core. It wasn’t just the sound; it was the adrenaline rush, the electrifying energy of being so close to the action. Seeing the cars in motion was surreal—blazing through the 5.4-kilometer track with a speed and precision that can’t be captured on television.

The Lusail Circuit is an engineering marvel, built in just over a year at a staggering cost of $58 million. Designed with motorcycling in mind, it boasts a flowing layout surrounded by artificial grass to prevent desert sand from disrupting the race. With its mix of high-speed straights and sharp corners, the track is both a test of skill and a feast for the senses.

For me, this wasn’t just about the cars. It was about the people—the who's who of the world, all gathered in one place. From celebrities and dignitaries to fans who had traveled from across the globe, the atmosphere was charged with excitement and sophistication. And I was there, not just as a spectator, but as part of the team behind the scenes, ensuring the culinary offerings matched the grandeur of the event.

Serving in the Paddock Club was a dream within a dream. Preparing and serving world-class dishes for elite guests was an honor, but it was also a moment of realization: I was living my passion in one of the most iconic settings imaginable.
